Beautiful handmade wooden bowl from Nor∂urljós Art, exclusive to Horns of Odin and available in 3 different designs.
The pyrographed design is inspired by the late Urnes style and is based on openwork brooches from the period.
The Urnes style was the last phase of art in what we know as the Viking Age; appearing from around 1050 to 1125. Many distinctive features of the Urnes style differ from what went before, such as highly exaggerated/elongated bodies, figure-of-eight shaped knot patterns and lappets on the neck and mouth.
