From the Depths of the Gorge to the Yorkshire Hive
At the Horns of Odin Meadery, we believe that a legendary mead is only as good as its elements. That is why we refuse to settle for tap water or mass-produced sweeteners. Our process begins with natural spring water sourced from deep beneath the limestone cliffs of Cheddar Gorge. This mineral-rich water provides the perfect foundation for fermentation, resulting in a crisp, clean finish that you won't find in industrial alternatives.
The Gold of the North
The soul of our mead is our honey. We partner exclusively with a third-generation Yorkshire beekeeper who understands the rhythm of the seasons and the health of the hive. This premium honey carries the floral notes of the Yorkshire landscape directly into your glass. When you drink our Traditional Honey Mead, you are tasting centuries of beekeeping heritage and artisan brewing expertise.
Handcrafted in Small Batches
We don't do mass production. Every bottle in the Horns of Odin Meadery collection is fermented in small batches in our Huddersfield workshop. This allows us to maintain total control over the temperature, clarity, and flavour profile of our mead. It is a slow process, but it is the only way to ensure that every drop is worthy of being served in one of our Artisan Drinking Horns.
The Ultimate Yorkshire Gift
Because we handle every step of the process—from the meadery to the horn workshop—our Viking Gift Sets are the most authentic on the market. By pairing our flagship mead with a vessel handcrafted in the same building, we offer a piece of living history that supports local British craftsmanship.
