Freyja's Battle Axe

Freyja's Battle Axe has been beautifully crafted using the highest-quality materials. The head is forged from carbon steel to achieve the iconic "bearded" shape associated with the Vikings. The "beard" has been forged shorter than typical and features an elongated "point" - which is ideal for "thrusting" the axe in close quarters, whilst remaining light enough to throw when needed.

This axe is similar to our Freyja's Skeggox but features a longer shaft and larger axe head.

The axe has been finished with our signature microcrystalline and mineral oil blend, which helps protect, aids in grip and brings out the wood's natural grain. Each axe is supplied with a hand-sewn leather sheath that is traditionally tied.

Please Note: These axes aren't heavy duty wood chopping / splitting axes. They feature a thin edge which is designed for cutting, Wood splitting axes have a thicker wedge shaped edge, specifically designed to absorb the impact caused by wood chopping.
