The blade has been forged using carbon steel to achieve the broken back seax shape associated with the Vikings. The handle has been hand-crafted from walnut wood with brass caps. The whole seax has been finished with our signature beeswax and linseed oil blend, which helps protect, aids in grip, and brings out the wood's natural grain.
