Product Description
King's Short Seax
Our King's Short Seax has been beautifully crafted using the highest-quality materials. The blade has been hand-forged using carbon steel to achieve the straight-back seax shape associated with the Vikings. The handle has been hand-crafted from Walnut with brass caps. The whole seax has been finished with our signature microcrystalline and mineral oil blend, which helps protect, aids in grip, and brings out the wood's natural grain. The handmade scabbard has been hand-sewn and finished masterfully with brass accents.
This Seax is the ideal everyday blade, thanks to its short design. The perfect blend between the iconic visual shape of a Seax, and the functionality and practicality of a knife
These are an attempt to recreate what likely would have been used in the Viking Age. The straight-back-shaped seax with a curved blade seems to have been the most popular blade shape in Scandinavia throughout the Viking Age

Please note: High-carbon steel blades are used for their durability and ability to keep a sharpened edge. However, like all carbon steel blades, they are susceptible to moisture erosion (rust) if not cared for correctly. Please oil the blade regularly, especially after use and before storing for long periods of time.
THESE ARE NOT TOYS. THEY ARE FULLY FUNCTIONAL SEAXES WITH EXTREMELY SHARP BLADES. You MUST be 18 to purchase this item, and identification will be required on delivery.
