These handmade wrist bracers have a Vegvisir design hand-embossed into the leather.
Vegvisir (Icelandic: Vegvísir, “That Which Shows the Way”) - The vegvisir is an Icelandic stave, which is thought to guide the bearer through rough seas. There is very little known about the symbol; however, the Huld manuscript states, “If this sign is carried, one will never lose one’s way in storms or bad weather, even when the way is not known.”

All of our leatherwork is handmade in the U.K. by our expert leathersmith, exclusively for Horns of Odin. We use vegetable tan leather, which would have been used during the Viking age, to give our products that authentic feel.
