Our signature traditional mead has been authentically made using just three core ingredients; honey, water and yeast. NO sweeteners, NO added sugar, NO artificial flavourings and NO white wine bases here - 100% REAL MEAD.
Great mead requires great core ingredients and this is why we cut no corners and spared no expense when producing our traditional mead. Made using 100% Spring Flower Honey from local 3rd generation Beekeeper Pete Alanson and delicate natural spring water sourced from beneath Cheddar Gorge, this medium-sweet mead offers an unrivalled smoothness while delivering a rich honey flavour and complex depth. A mead so good we not only put our name on it, we made it.
What is mead?
In recent years, mead has - rightfully - seen a resurgence in popularity. But, believe it or not, one of the questions we are asked the most is; what is mead?
Mead is one of the oldest alcoholic drinks known to man. This is in part because mead can be found naturally in the wild, if the conditions are just right. All you need is honey, a little rain water and some natural yeast... And.. Hey presto... MEAD! (of course, GOOD mead takes a little more care and sterilization!) Mead has been highly valued by humans since its discovery and can be found in Roman, Greek and Viking mythology - often heralded as the drink of the gods.
How to enjoy?
The second most asked question is; How do I drink it?
In short, however you enjoy it most! - There is no "right" way to enjoy this beautiful drink. We prefer slightly chilled, with or without ice, in a wine glass or tumbler. Why not try it in a cocktail? Our favourites are a Honey Collins, Honey Old Fashioned or Honey Rum Grog. You can even sweeten to taste using your favourite honey!

Horns of Odin Meadery
The Horns of Odin Meadery is now open! For half a decade Horns of Odin has been championing mead by stocking fantastic meads by some of the UK's best meaderies. In 2024, we decided to not only stock these lovely meads, but to produce our own! We spent an entire year living and breathing mead, not only by building a meadery at our Yorkshire premises but also turning into full mead-gicians whilst developing a quality product that's worthy of the Horns of Odin brand.
Any customs fees that may occur with items sent to Europe are payable by the customer.
Shipping, Returns & Customs
We offer FREE shipping on all orders over £100 within the UK.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on parcel size, weight and delivery location.
We aim to ship in stock items within 2 working days. Custom or handmade items do have a production time, please check the item description for these.

The customer pays any customs fees that may occur with items sent to Europe.
Customs and import fees are determined by the customs authorities at the destination country, and may be applied once the parcel arrives in the destination country. Please check local import rules. We will NOT cover customs and import fees. Reshipping charges may apply where a parcel "wasn't called for", returned to sender and then reshipped.
