By popular demand, our McM Comic Con exclusive tee has now hit our website! This beautiful design is a Nordic Mythology x Anime mash-up featuring the trickster god himself, Loki (and a cameo by Jormundgandr) on the back. There's also a mistletoe spear and serpent design on the left breast.
Loki is (arguably) the most complex figure in all of Nordic Mythology. According to Snorri, he is the son of the Jotunn, Farbauti and the Goddess, Laufey. He has two "human" sons with his wife Sigyn, along with three "monstrous" children (Hel, Fenrir and Jormundgandr) with the Jotunn, Angrboda. And, let's not forget Sleipnir, the eight legged horse Loki mothered to get himself (and the gods) out of a conundrum. It's these "conundrums" which give Loki his notoriety as he brings chaos and disorder to the gods. Often, these bouts of trickery wind up with the gods profiteering, except in the case of Loki's role in the Death of Baldr. This moment of "trickery" will be the catalyst which brings about the end of the world; Ragnarok.
The T-shirt is made from 100% Organic cotton, and the designs are masterfully printed to the highest quality. Unisex. We have worked closely with Anime artist Jeqqi to create a design that embodies both styles.
