Mjölnir (Old norse: Mjǫllnir) - Mjölnir is the hammer of Thor, and is one of the most feared weapons in all of Norse Mythology. It is especially feared by the jötunn (Giants), as Thor is Asgard's resident giant slayer. The hammer was forged by the Dwarves, Brokkr (Meatalworker) and Sindri (Spark-sprayer) and can be shrunk to the size of an amulet and worn around the neck.

Valknut (Old norse: Vair, "Slain warriors and knut, "knot") - The exact meaning of the Valknut still remains unknown. It is thought to be closely linked to Odin and has been found in a number of burial sites.

Vegvisir (Icelandic: Vegvísir, “That Which Shows the Way” - The vegvisir is an Icelandic stave, which is thought to guide the bearer through rough seas. There is very little know about the symbol; however the Huld manuscript states, “If this sign is carried, one will never lose one’s way in storms or bad weather, even when the way is not known.”

Triple horns of Odin (Also referred to as Horn triskellion) - In order to obtain the mead of poetry (skáldskaparmjöðr), which was made from the blood of the god Kvasir, Odin bargained 3 nights with the giantess Gunnlöð in exchange for three sips of the mead. However, with each sip he drank a whole horn. Since the three horns, named Óðrœrir, Boðn and Són, contained the whole of the mead, Odin thus got all of it and fled in the shape of an eagle.

Our small arm bracers are sold individually. If you would like a pair, please order two and we will send a matching pair.

All of our leather work is handmade in the U.K by our expert leathersmith, exclusively for Horns of Odin. We use vegetable tan leather, which is what would have been used during the Viking age, to give our products that authentic feel.
